According to recorded evidence that was shown in a Virginia courtroom on Tuesday, a former friend of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s described the actor making a comment about domestic violence shortly after their seaside Caribbean wedding. The wedding took place in the Caribbean.
When Johnny and iO Tillett Wright returned from the ceremony, iO Tillett Wright remarked, “I was strolling with Johnny and praising him that they pulled it off, that they accomplished it.” That was followed by him saying, ‘We’re married; now I can punch her in the face and nobody can do anything about it.’”
Amber Heard is suing Johnny Depp for defamation, seeking a total sum of a hundred million dollars, based on her allegations that Depp physically assaulted her when they were married.
iO Tillett Wright Testifies Against Depp
While serving as a photojournalist for The New York Times a decade ago, multi-hyphenate producer Wright became acquainted with Heard and then Depp. He claimed portraying himself as a one-time confidante for both stars.
