Andrew Scott’s Worst Theatre Experience
Andrew Scott has figured out how to deal with disruptive audience members. He talked about an unusual stage performance while appearing on the Happy Sad Confused podcast. The Irish actor played the troubled prince in Almeida Theatre’s production of ‘Hamlet.’ During a performance, he was thrown off by an audience member.
Andrew Scott couldn’t help but notice this member was using their laptop in the middle of his “to be or not to be” soliloquy. Upset by the lack of basic theatre etiquette, he decides not to proceed despite being told to “get on with it.” The disruptive member only realized what had happened after the woman beside him gave him a nudge.
