Elon Musk‘s estranged transgender daughter, Vivian Jenna Wilson, has announced her plans to leave the United States after Donald Trump‘s presidential victory. Her decision, she stated, reflects her deep concerns over the country’s direction.
As a Transgender woman, she is particularly concerned about LGBTQ+ rights. This significant choice comes after a public fallout with her father. Musk has shown a pattern of transphobia and publicly deemed his daughter dead after she decided to leave the USA.

Vivian Jenna Wilson, who officially changed her name and cut ties with her father Elon Musk in 2022, took to Meta’s Threads on Wednesday to share her concerns. “I’ve thought this for a while, but yesterday confirmed it for me. I don’t see my future being in the United States,” she posted.

She expressed concern about the country’s political and social climate. The recent election, which saw Donald Trump back in office, was the tipping point for Vivian. Moreover, she fears that the growing wave of anti-trans and anti-LGBTQ+ sentiment will only gain more traction under Trump’s leadership.
“Even if he’s only in office for 4 years, even if the anti-trans regulations magically don’t happen, the people who willingly voted this in are not going anywhere anytime soon,” Vivian explained. She made her apprehension about the electorate’s support for policies and leaders clear and claimed she finds them threatening.
In Response, Elon Musk Wrote, “The Woke Mind Killed My Son”
The rift between Vivian Jenna Wilson and her billionaire father Elon Musk has only deepened. Now, after Vivian’s post Musk has deemed her daughter dead. The Tesla and SpaceX CEO, known for his controversial statements, blamed “the woke mind virus” for what he perceives as the loss of his relationship with his daughter.

“The woke mind killed my son,” Musk tweeted. In response, Vivian shared a screenshot of her father’s post on Threads, writing, “So, you’re still going with the sob-story about how ‘woe is me, my child was infected by something-or-other and that’s totally the only reason why they hate me.”
She also asked Musk to stop with his hateful and unnecessary remarks. Vivian further called out Musk for his alleged need for control. In a follow-up post, she added, “You’re upset because, at the end of the day, everyone around you knows you as a delusional and grubby little control freak who hasn’t matured as a person for 38 years. However, last time I checked that’s not my [expletive] problem.”
