Barbie Ferreira may no longer be part of ‘Euphoria‘, but the conversation around her exit hasn’t slowed down. As excitement builds around new trailers and returning cast members, Ferreira is being pulled back into the spotlight with constant questions about a show she’s no longer part of.
As season 3 gears up with returning stars like Zendaya, Ferreira has now directly addressed how she feels about the show continuing without her. Now, she’s openly admitting how little she knows, how she’s keeping up from a distance
Barbie Ferreira Finally Addresses Exit Speculations From ‘Euphoria’

Barbie Ferreira not being a part of the series was made public in 2022 via her Instagram story. Season 2 had just premiered earlier that year when the actress revealed that it was indeed a “goodbye”.

In a chat with The Morning Mashup, the actress was asked whether she is still catching up with the girls post her exit from the show. Barbie Ferreira responded immediately with a “totally,” expressing her support for the show but maintaining that the chapter in her book is closed for real.
While the public loved to pick apart every possibility that there might be more to the story, the actress remained positive. In 2023, rumors surfaced about behind-the-scenes tension between the showrunner, Sam Levinson, and the cast. But Barbie maintained that the decision was “mutual“. She confessed that she was done playing into the stereotypical “the fat best friend,” and the creators seemed to agree.
In the talk show with Ben Harlum, Babie has made it clear that ‘Euphoria’ is very much in the past. The star went on to say, “People always ask me questions about season 3. I’m like, ‘I don’t know.’ I don’t even think the girls know”.
Barbie Ferreira Is Still in Touch With Her Former Co-Stars

Even if she’s not a part of the show anymore, it seems Barbie Ferreira is still in touch with her former co-stars. She mentioned having reached out to them when the trailers dropped. In enquiring about who’s returning, she asked, “I was like, ‘Is Trisha Paytas in Euphoria?’ And they’re like, ‘I don’t know.’ And I’m like, ‘You’re in it. How did you not know?'”

Euphoria has been notoriously known to be engrossed in a storm of scandals and fallouts since its first season. The news that Barbie Ferreira wouldn’t be joining was a major disappointment and totally unexpected. Her character, Kat Hernandez, was central to the confidence she gained as she evolved.
At the same time, Kat was still very much in the background. Kat was often shown as a bystander in several key moments of the show. Thus, it makes sense why Ferreira decided that sticking to the role wasn’t a good idea for her career growth.
The ‘Mile End Kicks’ star still has high hopes for the series, and even if Kat isn’t returning, we will see the chaotic group take up the storyline with a five-year time jump on April 12!
