When Margot Robbie read Greta Gerwig’s ‘Barbie‘ screenplay, she thought it was the best movie she’d been offered. This appreciation followed the reality check, as she knew the film was too good to be true. But after years of recasting and rewriting, Greta Gerwig‘s ‘Barbie’ made its way to the screen.
Its surreal comedy and dance sequences make the film a joyous experience. Anywhere else, they would feel out of place. But within the sandbox of Barbieland, they feel lived-in. But in a recent interview, Greta Gerwig revealed another bizarre sequence that didn’t make the final cut.

The Final Cut Of ‘Barbie’ Leaves Out A Fart Opera Sequence
‘Barbie’ was conceptualized as a wackier story, but the script was toned down. One such sequence was the fart opera. Fond of fart jokes, Greta Gerwig’s homage was to feature in the middle of the movie. But the idea fell apart due to the final authority of editorial scissors.
