What Happened To Carole Baskin’s Husband Don Lewis?
When ‘The Tiger King’ was on the air, there were whispers and murmurs about Carole’s involvement in her husband’s presumed death. Don Lewis married Carole in 1991. Together, they found Wildlife on Easy Street, an animal sanctuary where they raised tigers and other animals. However, the marriage soured because of their differences regarding animal treatment.
While Don wanted to breed and sell the animals, Carole insisted on rescuing them. Disagreements led to arguments, and it was in the summer of 1997 that the husband was reported missing. His only trace was his van, found at a remote airport near the couple’s residence. All of a sudden, Don seemed to have vanished into thin air.

Is Carole Baskin’s Husband Still Alive?
Don Lewis is alive and well! Carole Baskin now claims her husband hasn’t kicked the bucket and resides in Costa Rica. In 2002, Don was declared legally dead. But in an interview with ITV’s ‘This Show,’ Baskin revealed his living husband’s whereabouts. She was also sure to mention her being unaware of this until the series premiere of ‘Tiger King 2.’
In the past, Joe Exotic has accused Carole of killing her then-husband, Don Lewis, and feeding him to their tigers. But despite these attacks, there was no evidence of Carole’s involvement with Don’s involvement before he was said to be alive in Costa Rica. However, there’s still an open missing-persons case for Lewis. The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is still looking for Don as they are yet to get a definitive geographical location for him.
