Fool me once; shame on you. Fool me twice, with another Fyre Festival around the corner. Yes, convicted co-founder Billy McFarland is bringing us the second edition of his disastrous film festival. McFarland has provided no exact details except he confirmed it is happening. Fresh out of prison, he’s already on to the next hustle.
Billy McFarland recently devised another venture PYRT, described as “virtual immersive decentralized reality.” But seems like he’s moving ahead with the Fyre Festival for now. Ja Rule, the previous co-founder of the festival, quickly announced he isn’t returning for the second edition.

Billy McFarland Confirms Fyre Festival Is Happening
Given what went down last time, we can only imagine the audacity of this news. Billy McFarland may see it as a lack of oversight, but the promise of an exquisite music festival brought many to the island who were shocked to discover the reality. Billy McFarland and Ja Rule were named in a class action lawsuit of $100 million for defrauding investors and people who bought the tickets to the festival. Fyre Festival ruined lives.
Only a year out of prison, McFarland is getting ready to work. He took to Twitter to officially announce the second edition of the Fyre Festival. But like all his ventures, the lack of details isn’t helping this case. This could still be a scheme to earn back the money he owes around the town. No dates, venues, or list of musical acts were mentioned in the tweet. We’re already worried.
🔥 Fyre Festival II is finally happening.

Ja Rule Isn’t Participating In The Second Edition Of Fyre Festival
The Fyre Festival attracted people with a line-up that featured Ja Rule, Blink-182, The Migos, and models like Kendall Jenner. None of it materialized, making us wonder how in the world things could be any better the other time around. But one thing is sure – Ja Rule won’t be a part of it.
Ja Rule told People he would play no part in the festival’s second edition, saying, “I don’t know nothing about it. I ain’t in it!” Unlike McFarland, Ja Rule was cleared of all charges in the $100 million class-action lawsuit against them. We don’t blame him for cutting ties and walking away from the infinite trouble that Billy McFarland is.
