Of course, Lopez and Affleck’s story has always played out like a movie. They met in 2002 while filming ‘Gigli‘, got engaged later that year, but split before walking down the aisle in 2004. Almost twenty years later, they shocked fans by rekindling their romance in 2021. By July 2022, they were married in what seemed like a Hollywood fairytale. But just two years later, Lopez filed for divorce and dropped Affleck from her name.
She admitted at the time that her “whole f-ing world exploded.” But now, she says the heartbreak pushed her to grow. Affleck, on the other hand, kept things private, only speaking out to deny rumors of a messy split.
