Marvel President Kevin Feige Discusses Evolution From ‘Avengers: Endgame’ To ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’
Reflecting on the lead-up to ‘Avengers: Endgame,’ Kevin Feige highlighted that the film represented a significant culmination of over a decade of intricate storytelling. “When we were gearing up for ‘Avengers: Endgame,’ it really was a finale,” he noted. “We sort of started the whole machine back up again as we figured out what the grand storyline would be,” he said.
The stakes were high as ‘Endgame’ served as the conclusion to an era that included milestone moments like Tony Stark’s unforgettable arc. Now, with ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’ on the horizon, Feige shared that Marvel Studios is approaching the new era with clear direction.
“What’s fun this time is—now we know very much what the grand storyline is leading up to ‘Secret Wars,’ but also beyond,” he revealed. This plan extends past the climax of ‘Secret Wars’ and ushers in iconic characters like the X-Men. Feige also acknowledged fan excitement surrounding the return of Wolverine.
So, fans can expect to see Wolverine and the X-Men as a whole in upcoming MCU projects. Moreover, Feige also confirmed that Tom Holland‘s ‘Spider-Man 4’ is set to release between the colossal Avengers films. So, the film might also serve as a bridge between ‘Avengers: Doomsday‘ and ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’.
