Anthony Mackie Talks Harrison Ford’s Professionalism On ‘Captain America 4’
Anthony Mackie is dealing with the pressure of being Captain America since taking over the shield from Chris Evans. In his conversation with Inverse magazine, he talked about how having Harrison Ford on set has helped him ease his anxieties. Ford, who plays Ross Thunderbolt Thaddeus, takes over for the late William Hurt.
The MCU actor told the magazine, ” The first day was so intimidating. I was so f***ng nervous I couldn’t remember my lines. He’s Harrison f***ing Ford. There is this aura about him. But he dispels that really quickly because he’s such a cool guy. He’s everything a movie star should be. He would say, ‘Let’s shoot this piece of s*it.’ And everybody was like, ‘Yeah, let’s shoot this s*it.’”

Anthony Mackie’s Worries About Potential SAG Strike
The success of ‘Brave New World’ isn’t the only thing on Anthony Mackie’s mind. He’s also expressed concern about the current SAG contracts. These negotiations must make the actors’ guild happy. If not, Mackie strongly believes it will be a “s*it show,” with studios turning to YouTubers to be in the movies.
The MCU actor continued, “Once the studios went public and were bought out by major companies, we were fu***d. It’s no longer about art. It’s no longer about interesting, fun work.
Anthony Mackie added, “It’s about end-of-the-quarter profit sharing. It’s about shareholders. So you’re literally just r***ng and pillaging the industry. It’s cannibalism.”
