“One Of The Most Freeing Days”: Kanye West Reacts To Getting Sacked By Balenciaga

The repercussions are surfacing for Kanye West for his erratic behavior. For the past few weeks, the rapper has been displaying some antics that are not sitting well with the general audience and the business moguls. It all has its origin during the Paris Fashion Week when Ye introduced his new ‘Yeezy’ collection which had ‘White Lives Matter’ written on it. This led to a Domino effect of controversies.

Kanye already severed ties with his long-time collaborator Gap. Post the Paris Fashion Week, Adidas put its deal with them “under review”. Later, he went on a social media frenzy making hate-mongering “anti-Semitic” posts on Instagram and Twitter. But, the spiraling did not stop there. Looking at all his social media and public antics, Balenciaga too sacked him as the face of the brand. Now, the business mogul himself had reacted to the brand slashing his name.

Balenciaga does not want to associate with the rapper anymore. The Spanish streetwear brand has had enough of West’s hate-spewing media presence. On Friday, Kering announced that “Balenciaga has no longer any relationship nor any plans for future projects related to this artist.” The signs surfaced when the brand and fashion magazine Vogue removed all the ‘Yeezy Gap Engineered Collections’ by Balenciaga from their social media handles.

Kanye West is not affected by the decision. During his elder daughter North’s basketball game, TMZ asked the ‘Jesus Walks’ rapper about the decision. He answered, “I ain’t losing no money. “They never pay me nothing…The day I was taken off the Balenciaga site, that was one of the most freeing days.”

In the garb of free speech and bringing the truth to the forefront, Kanye has offended communities and races with his hate factory. He is punching down by belittling the struggles and experiences of Black people in America with the constant pitting against White people. In the same interaction, he claimed that the people are “trying to mute” him by not allowing “companies to do business with him”.

Recently, many podcasts also pulled out the video or canceled their streaming of them due to West’s continued hate speech. ‘The Shop’ refused to air the podcast. Ye’s explosive ‘Drink Champs’ podcast was removed.

On this, he reiterated his purpose of anti-Semitic comments. He said, “I want to talk about the Jewish comment, it’s actually proven the exact point that I made. … They never expected someone to have the platform. It’s not that anyone is afraid, they’re afraid of us not being afraid anymore. They can’t use all the tactics.”

He claims that there is a danger to his life for having the opinions he has. The ‘Donda’ rapper said, “I’m talking about my life has been threatened for having a political opinion.” To wear the wrong color hat or the audacity of me as a black man to have a White Lives Matter T-shirt. “I’ve seen white people wearing Black Lives Matter T-shirts. it’s pretty one-sided if you think about it.”
