Just like millions, Harry has been devastated by the death of his grandmother Queen Elizabeth II. He has been by her side since her death started deteriorating.

Earlier it was reported that he will not be allowed to wear a military uniform at her vigil. But now, according to Page Six, Harry can and will be wearing the military outfit.

He was simply prepared to wear whatever his grandmother made plans for. He’s focused on honoring her and that’s it. If they’d like him in uniform, I have no reason to think that he won’t oblige,” a source said.

Another source said: “The Duke of Sussex has served his country and is a highly respected member of the armed forces with everything he has done for veterans. It is important that the Queen’s grandchildren are all made to feel welcome and comfortable as they grieve their beloved grandmother together.”

It was earlier reported that Harry will not be allowed to wear a military uniform because non-working royals are banned from wearing uniforms to events.

When he and Meghan stepped down from their royal duties, it came with a lot of terms and conditions. One of them was him having to renounce his military appointments. His uncle Prince Andrew was also stripped of his military status because of a case of sexual misconduct in 2022.

Veterans are not permitted to wear their uniforms once they are no longer on active duty, as they now become civilians.

The Sussex spokesperson had earlier tweeted on this matter. “[Harry] will wear a morning suit throughout events honouring his grandmother. His decade of military service is not determined by the uniform he wears and we respectfully ask that focus remain on the life and legacy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’.”
