Which Party Does Elon Musk Support?
During the 2022 elections, Elon Musk openly stated that he would no longer vote for Democrats. The CEO said he would vote only for Republicans that year. Musk has criticized Democrats openly for their leftist ideologies. He then, stalled from considering himself a Republican too.
He noted that he had voted for Democrats historically and never voted for Republicans. However, in the 2022 elections, he stated that he would vote for Republicans. As a matter of fact, he called himself a moderate, neither Republican nor Democrat. The reason for his shift was because the Democratic party has shifted from kindness to hate and divisions.

However, he has several times openly stated that he believes in free speech and that meant upsetting the extremists of both parties. Even though he supports Republicans, he also does not align with certain conservative views of Republicans.
His libertarian views did not allow him to support the conservative extremist views of Democrats. His views advocate minimal intervention of the state in the free market and the lives of citizens. In conjunction with these views, Neuralink co-founder tweeted, “In general, I believe government should rarely impose its will upon the people. That said, I would prefer to stay out of politics.”
