Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni’s behind-the-scenes feud has spilled into Hollywood’s spotlight yet again, with accusations that Lively’s husband, Ryan Reynolds, based a satirical Marvel character on Baldoni.
The allegations have further escalated tensions between the parties involved. Moreover, the ongoing feud between Lively and Baldoni has left Hollywood divided. As the lawsuits proceed, both sides seem determined to have the last word.
Justin Baldoni’s Lawyer Calls Ryan Reynolds Nicepool Joke “Unacceptable”
Justin Baldoni’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, has called out Ryan Reynolds for allegedly mocking Baldoni through the “Nicepool” character in ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’. During an appearance on The Megyn Kelly Show, Freedman didn’t hold back. Additionally, he accused Reynolds of exploiting a sensitive situation for comedic purposes.

“What I make of that is, if your wife is sexually harassed, you don’t make fun of Justin Baldoni,” Freedman remarked. “There’s no question it relates to Justin. Anybody who watched that hair bun and over-the-top ‘nice guy’ persona could see the reference. If someone is seriously sexually harassed, it’s not a laughing matter. It’s a serious issue.”
This statement came in response to a clip shown during the interview, featuring the controversial Nicepool. In the film, Reynolds plays an alternate version of Deadpool who resides in a surreal Void alongside other Marvel misfits. Moreover, Nicepool’s personality is a mix of excessive positivity and inappropriate behavior.
In the clip, Nicepool greets Deadpool and Wolverine, saying, “In here, everybody calls me Nicepool. Oh my goodness, wait ’til you see Ladypool (played by Blake Lively). She is gorgeous. She just had a baby too, and you can’t even tell.” Deadpool quickly interjects, “I don’t think you can say that,” to which Nicepool responds: “That’s okay, I identify as a feminist.”
Bryan Freedman Calls Out Blake Lively’s “Pattern Of Bullying”, Vows To Release Evidence
While the Nicepool controversy grabs headlines, the underlying feud between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni is far from over. Both parties have accused each other of orchestrating smear campaigns, with Lively alleging sexual harassment and a toxic work environment on the set of ‘It Ends With Us’.

In response, Baldoni filed a $250 million defamation lawsuit against The New York Times. The suit accused the paper of publishing false and misleading allegations. Bryan Freedman has vowed to release what he calls “receipts” to prove a long-standing pattern of bullying from the ‘Gossip Girl‘ actress.
“It is painfully ironic that Blake Lively is accusing Justin Baldoni of weaponizing the media when her team orchestrated this vicious attack by sending The New York Times grossly edited documents before even filing the complaint,” Freedman told People. Additionally, the lawyer claimed that Baldoni’s team had substantial evidence to support their case.
“We have all the receipts and more,” Freedman asserted. Lively, for her part, accused Baldoni of creating a hostile work environment during filming. She alleged that Baldoni and another producer entered her trailer without permission while she was undressed and improvised physical intimacy during scenes. Baldoni has denied all the allegations.
