Are you ready for some more Venom? If yes, Venom 3 is in the works now. Sony Pictures is all set to start the production of the third installment of the Venom series. This comes after the huge box-office success of the first two films in the series. The first two series were “Venom: Let There Be Carnage” ($502 million globally) in 2019 and“Venom” ($856 million globally) in 2018. The Venom franchise is led by Tom Hardy.
That being said, Sony Pictures is also planning to work on the next edition of Ghostbusters. This new edition will act as a follow-up to 2021’s Ghostbusters: Afterlife. Ghostbusters: Afterlife had earned $200 million globally.
Sony Pictures Reveals Their Plan About Venom And Ghostbusters
Sony Pictures had shared at the CinemaCon that they will come up with the sequels of both Venom and Ghostbusters. As a result, they made their presentation on Monday evening. CinemaCon is an annual trade show where theatre owners come and talk about the trends, products, etc. Although, the studio has not yet officially announced any details of the two projects apart from their reveal. Sony Pictures announced it as a mashup reel where they had footage of Whitney Houston’s biopic added in it. The footages were also from movies like, “I Wanna Dance With Somebody,” “Kraven the Hunter,” and “The Equalizer 3”. Furthermore, you can see some unseen clips of Tom Hanks from “A Man Called Otto.”
