Some unidentified men launched a shooting during the Kansas City Chiefs parade, which resulted in the death of one person and left 22 injured.
In a laudable display of heroism, two Kansas City Chiefs fans tackled the gunman who opened fire during the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl victory rally on Thursday. A video of the incident has gone viral on social media, wherein the two men can be seen chasing and eventually capturing the gunman.
Two Kansas City Chiefs Fans Chase and Hold Down A Suspected Gunman
In a video of the shooting during the Kansas City Chiefs’ Parade, two Chiefs fans can be seen leaping onto the suspected gunman and bringing him to the ground amid chaos. The suspect resists the chase but eventually gives up after being held forcibly to the ground by the Chiefs fans.
While other people at the spot were seen scrambling for safety in the background, the two men ran towards the shooters and managed to capture one of them. Soon the police officials reached the spot where the gunman was held down and took over the matter.
Shockingly, another woman was seen picking up a gun after the suspected gunman was subdued.

Kansas City Police Chief Stacey Graves said she has acknowledged the reports that fans may have played a role in capturing at least one suspect. The police chief stated that investigators were reviewing video footage of the incident.

The Shooting At Chiefs Super Bowl Parade Was The 49th One Recorded In US This Year
The Gun Violence Archive revealed that the Kansas City shooting marked the forty-ninth mass shooting in the United States this year. Authorities have arrested three people in connection with the incident, but the motive of the shooting remains under investigation.
Fire Department Chief Ross Grundyson held a press conference after the incident, reporting that at least 22 people were struck by gunfire and one person was killed. 15 victims are under treatment with life-threatening injuries. The full extent of casualties and the age range of the victims are still under investigation.
About 800 law enforcement officers, including FBI agents and ATF personnel, were present at the rally and preceding parade. Missouri Governor Mike Parson and his wife were also present during the gunfire along with all of the Kansas City Chiefs’ star players. All of them are reported to be safe and secure after the incident.
