Harrison Butker has been vocal about his conservative views about women and their position as compared to men. Being his usual self he again commented on the same issue but this time he also got a response back to his unusual views.
Serena Williams issued a response and mocked his controversial views during the ESPY Awards which was accompanied by applause but the football player issued a response to her comment during the show.

Harrison Butker became a source of entertainment when Serena Williams joked about his controversial views during the 2024 ESPY Awards. The 42-year-old tennis player hosted the ESPN’s annual awards and she targeted the 28-year-old Kansas City Chiefs’ kicker for his Misogynistic views. During her monologue, Serena was also joined by her sister Venus Williams.
Venus said, “So go ahead and enjoy women’s sports like you would any other sports, because they are sports,” while her sister added, “Except you, Harrison Butker. We don’t need you“.
Brunson agreed with both the athletes adding, “At all. Like, ever.”

As soon as the performance reached Butker, he decided to give a response to Serena and said, “I thought Mrs Williams was a great host and applaud her for using her platform to express her beliefs on a variety of topics.”
Harrison Butker added, “Sports are supposed to be the great unifier and at an event dedicated to celebrating a diverse group of men and women who have accomplished great feats, she used it as an opportunity to disinvite those with whom she disagrees from supporting fellow athletes.”

Harrison Butker Has Gained Attention For His Previous Controversial Comments
Butker also received backlash for a controversial speech he delivered at Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas. During his speech, he talked about various sensitive topics including criticizing President Joe Biden for his faith, attacking the LGBTQ+ community, and suggesting that women should focus more on motherhood than careers.
He addressed the following views to a crowd of female graduates of the college who were in the class of 2024. He not only urged them to give up on their careers but also shared his personal experience saying that his house was stable only because his wife was a homemaker.
Harrison Butker claimed that “Her life truly started when she began living her vocation as a wife and as a mother.” He also told the crowd, “abortion, IVF, surrogacy, euthanasia as well as a growing support for degenerate cultural values and media” were a byproduct of “the pervasiveness of disorder.” He alleged that Biden was only promoting the degeneration of these values by making it seem as though “you can be both Catholic and pro-choice.”
