When ‘Wednesday’ debuted on Netflix in 2022, it grabbed immediate attention. However, alongside Jenna Ortega‘s gothic charm stood another breakout star: Enid Sinclair, played by Emma Myers.
Enid’s bright, bubbly energy was the polar opposite of Wednesday’s brooding demeanor. Additionally, it is what made one of the most unexpectedly lovable dynamics of the show.
New Werewolf Additions To ‘Wednesday’ Season 2 Are Set To Deepen Enid’s Arc

While Enid’s character was instantly adored by fans, there was some disappointment as her storyline felt underdeveloped. She spent most of season 1 struggling to “wolf out,” isolated from her own kind and defined mainly by her efforts to get closer to Wednesday. However, now, with ‘Wednesday’ season 2 around the corner, all of that is about to change, and it’s incredibly exciting.

Season 1 left us wanting more from Enid’s werewolf identity. She was introduced as a proud member of an outcast species, yet we saw surprisingly little of that world. The few mentions of her pack, “The Furs,” and the awkward, pressured visit from her parents hinted at a much deeper storyline waiting to unfold. But Enid never truly got to shine within her own mythos. That’s where season 2 steps in, and it’s fixing this oversight in a big way.
The new season will introduce more werewolves at Nevermore Academy. This includes a mysterious music teacher, Isadora Capri (Billie Piper), and a new student, Bruno Yuson. This expansion of the werewolf community isn’t just a world-building bonus, it’s a direct opportunity to give Enid space to grow.
Billie Piper’s character, described as a “brilliant and enigmatic former child prodigy,” could serve as a mentor for Enid, something the young werewolf sorely lacked in season 1. With Enid now fully transformed and more confident in her abilities, we may get to see her stepping up. And then there’s Bruno. As a fellow werewolf student, he could provide not just a new friend or ally, but potentially a rival or romantic interest.
‘Wednesday’ Season 2: Release Details And Why Fans Should Be Excited

Of course, Enid’s emotional complexity doesn’t stop at the Academy gates. Season 1 offered a glimpse into her strained relationship with her parents, especially her mother Esther, who pressured Enid to attend Lycanthropy camp to force a transformation she wasn’t ready for. Now that Enid has transformed into a full werewolf, the stakes of that relationship are bound to shift.

However, while she’ll finally branch out and establish her independence, that doesn’t mean her connection with Wednesday will fade. If anything, it may be tested. There’s also the promise that season 2 will be “darker and more complex,” as confirmed by showrunners Alfred Gough and Miles Millar.
Moreover, ‘Wednesday’ season 2 will arrive in two parts, Part 1 premiering on August 6, and Part 2 dropping a month later on September 3, exclusively on Netflix. For Enid fans, this means more screen time, more emotional beats, and hopefully, a story that elevates her from a charming sidekick to a fully realized hero in her own right. Moreover, with new characters, deepened lore, and richer emotional stakes, season 2 promises to deliver what season 1 only teased.
