Since Alex Cooper teased what the audiences can expect out of the interview, the excitement has been at its peak. The episode was released and oh boy, did Hailey hold herself back? The supermodel model sat down with Cooper to discuss everything about her life, but most importantly her husband Justin Bieber’s past!
The haunting past is nothing but that of Selena Gomez. The former couple had a rough relationship between the breakup and reconciliation. Both Selena and Justin moved on, but fans seem stuck in the ‘Jelena’ era. This nostalgia was proving toxic to Bieber’s wife Hailey. The fans did not leave a single occasion to mock the supermodel and accuse her of stealing Justin from Selena. However, Hailey came out to speak about the cost of having to carry the baggage of Justin’s past relationship.

“That Seemed Really Crazy And Drastic”: Hailey Bieber Addressed The Internet’s Rage
The teaser of Alex Cooper’s ‘Call Her Daddy’ piqued the excitement of netizens. The reason was Hailey Bieber. For the first time, she addressed how the internet made her into a vamp due to Justin-Selena. The claims are still fresh on the Internet alleging that Hailey “stole” Justin from Selena Gomez. On the podcast, Hailey talked about their marriage, and how the timing of their marriage put the internet off.
She said, “I think the timing was obviously very rapid and very fast, which now, being four years past that, looking back on it, I totally get it. I’m like, ‘Yeah, that seemed really drastic and really crazy.‘” The singer and supermodel got married a year after Selena and he finally called it quits on their relationship.
She also addressed the chaos that was already there when she and Justin were together. There was a lot said about the separation and the new alliance of Justin-Hailey.
Hinting at that, Hailey continued, “And I think just given the timeline of where he was at before we got back together and what was going on…there was just a lot happening. But I will say too, the only people that really know the truth of the situation and what the timeline really was and how it happened and how it went down are like me and him.”

“It Is Not My Character…”: Hailey Bieber On Whether She “Stole” Justin From Selena
In the teaser, Alex asks Hailey, “Were you ever with Justin romantically, at the same time as her [Selena]?” In the episode, Hailey said, “No. Not one time. When him and I ever started like hooking up or like anything of that sort, he was not ever in a relationship ever, at any point. It’s not my character to mess with someone’s relationship. I would just never do that.”
She also confessed that there was no situation of any on and off between him and Selena like after their first break up. Hailey continued, “The timeline also that I think sometimes is in question of us getting together and getting engaged and him having been spending time with his ex before that…this is so crazy. ”
The teaser moment finally unveiled, “I’ve literally never talked about this ever…I understand, again, how it looks from the outside and there’s a lot of perception there. But that was a situation where I know for a fact that it was the right thing for them to close that door, they were not in a relationship at that time.”
The Supermodel Has A Message For Selena Gomez’s Fans
During the 2021 Met Gala, a video where Hailey was seen crying and Justin consoling her due to “Selena” chants. The supermodel denied the claims that she was crying but thought that it was disrespectful. She said, “I could hear everyone screaming and I think there’s a certain part of you that has a numbness of just like…I was really surprised. I could kind of hear it but I didn’t know if that’s what was really going on until I saw the video after.”
She continued, “The whole thing of everybody being like, ‘Oh he’s trying to tell her not to cry.’ That was not true, it wasn’t making me cry. Although, it’s a very disrespectful thing to do towards anybody.”
Hailey also rendered a message to the Jelena fans to be more respectful, decent, and aware of the repercussions of their comments. She made it clear that neither they nor she are obligated to one another and asked them to maintain mutual respect.
