The newlyweds were seen making out on a park bench, walking hand-in-hand, enjoying meals together, and laughing while gazing at each other.
But, there was one thing during the beautiful honeymoon that irked Affleck a lot, so much so that he was “a little freaked out,” as per a source. So, what happened?

Ben Affleck had a terrible experience with the eternal truth – ‘history repeats itself,’ in Paris. He was on his honeymoon with Jennifer Lopez as hordes of camerapersons flocked around and continuously trailed them. The two had battled with the media glare when they started dating back in 2002. In fact, they called off their September 2003 wedding after a secret engagement because of “excessive media attention.”
The couple had explained in a joint statement: “When we found ourselves seriously contemplating hiring three separate ‘decoy brides’ at three different locations, we realized that something was awry. We felt what should have been a joyful and sacred day could be spoiled for us, our families and our friends.” They eventually broke up in 2004, which Affleck connected to the media’s negative portrayal of their relationship.
Now, it seems their honeymoon was marred by the media and fan frenzy as well. A source told Page Six, “Ben was a little freaked out in Paris. This was a whole new level.” The source added that all of it was “an almost Princess-Diana level” thing.
“Ben is used to the flashing lights. But he felt that the honeymoon was a tsunami. Jen’s made out of steel and knows it comes with the territory [but] he still gets pissed off,” the source said.

How The Couple’s Relationship Suffered Because Of Media Frenzy
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez might’ve found their way back to each other almost two decades later, but things weren’t easy to deal with when they had initially started dating. They were at the height of their fame and became a fan-favorite couple.
When they broke up, Affleck was “f**king hurt and angry and felt like a fool.” He further talked about how the media contributed to their fate: “The idea that people hate you and they hate you together and that being together is poison and ugly and toxic and the thing none of us want to be part of.”
Lopez also felt that the tabloid craze killed their relationship. She explained, “It was a lot. Honestly, I’ve never really talked about it before. I mean, I love Ben, he’s a great guy but it was a lot for both of us to be under that type of siege for two years straight. We were on the cover of every magazine every week, it was just a weird thing… Our relationship did suffer because of that. That was one of the reasons. I mean, I would never blame the media for anything, but it definitely played a part of the dynamic of our relationship.”
Finally, Affleck and Lopez got back together in 2021, after having separate families with different people. They tied the knot in a Las Vegas wedding ceremony on July 16, 2022, and are very happy in their new life.
