Elon Musk has accelerated the process to restructure Twitter since he completed the deal. Even before the $44 billion deal when he was a stockholder, Musk has been active on the platform suggesting required changes. He was the flag bearer of “free speech” on the platform. The new CEO had this utopian model where Twitter was the channel to nurture free speech which is the “bedrock of democracy”. Since October 2022, he has brought forth many changes.
Musk has been unearthing new policies as the days are progressing. We wake up and there is a new update on Twitter for good or worse. Recently, he updated the statistics feature bringing forth the statistics of view counts on a particular tweet to promote the usage and bring in better traffic on Twitter. The Tesla owner also prohibited the promotion of other social media platforms. Now, in another move, he will be introducing a policy questioning the science on the platform.

CEO Elon Musk has two ventures that have revolutionized aeronautical and automobile science. Tesla and SpaceX have given us the blueprint of sustainable and futuristic steps that human beings will be taking. Tesla with its electric self-driving vehicle and Space X with its determination to establish a human civilization on Mars have piqued the technological progression of humankind.
American novelist Thomas Berger once said, “The art and science of asking questions is the source of all knowledge”. This may have inspired Elon Musk informing that there will be a new Twitter policy that will follow the science. On December 28th, 2022, he wrote on Twitter, “New Twitter policy is to follow the science, which necessarily includes reasoned questioning of the science”.

The CEO Stated Who Will Be Regarded As A Scientist
Gad Saad, an Evolutionary Behavior Scientist uploaded a video captioning, “The science is anything that His Eminence Lord Fauci says it is. His Excellency is science”. Musk found it very limiting that a person can be science and to question the person is to question science.

As Claude Lévi-Strauss once quoted, “The scientist is not a person who gives the right answers, he’s one who asks the right questions”. The billionaire replied, “Anyone who says that questioning them is questioning science itself cannot be regarded as a scientist”. There is no clear update on what the feature will be and how it will work. But, looking at his recent policy changes, Twitter may suspend or flag accounts spreading any conspiracy theories or shadow ban them.
