Jacob Fatu is currently locked in a high-stakes rivalry with Drew McIntyre on SmackDown. Since arriving on WWE’s main roster, Fatu has quickly become a fan favorite, thanks to his dominant in-ring style and intense presence. Even during his initial alignment with Solo Sikoa, the crowd consistently rallied behind him, cheering him week after week.
Interestingly, fans almost saw a completely different version of the rising star. Ahead of his WWE debut, Fatu was reportedly set to undergo a major gimmick change. However, in a recent interview with IGN, Fatu revealed that those plans were scrapped at the last minute, with WWE deciding just hours before his debut to revert the character back to simply Jacob Fatu.
Jacob Fatu Was Supposed To Be Called Caesar Sikoa In WWE

The SmackDown superstar revealed how his original WWE name was supposed to be Caesar Sikoa, but it all changed when he met Triple H before making his debut.
‘The Game’ revealed how Jacob Fatu will not be having any gimmick change and will debut as ‘The Samoan Werewolf’ instead. “So I had two different songs. My name was actually supposed to be Caesar Sikoa,” said Fatu.
He further added, “And I was next to Hunter, [who said], Did you hear your music yet?’ And I was like, ‘No, not yet. I don’t even know what my name is gonna be.’ He turned around and was like, ‘You’re gonna be Jacob Fatu.”

Jacob Fatu And Drew McIntyre’s Heated Rivalry Looks Headed For WrestleMania Clash

Ever since Jacob Fatu returned, he and Drew McIntyre have been locked in a heated back-and-forth on SmackDown. Their rivalry even played a role in McIntyre capturing the WWE Championship from Cody Rhodes in a brutal Three Stages of Hell match.
Now, the road to WrestleMania 42 appears anything but smooth for the two rivals. After losing the title back to Rhodes on SmackDown, McIntyre seemingly quit the company in frustration.
However, his absence did not last long. Later that same night, the Scottish star resurfaced and made his presence felt by interfering in Fatu’s match against Trick Williams, costing the Samoan Werewolf a key victory.
