It also sued Microsoft for breach of privacy by utilizing its data improperly. Now, it is on to its next lawsuit against a non-profit organization, the Center for Countering Digital Hate.
X Corp. has filed a lawsuit against the Center for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH) in the Northern District of California’s federal court. The company updated the users about the lawsuit on their blog, writing that they are “actively working to prevent free expression.” In the lawsuit, the company accused the agency of conducting “a scare campaign to drive away advertisers.”
The company sent a letter to the agency working against hate speech. In the letter, X.com shut down the research and claims, calling them “false, misleading, or both.” It also accused CCDH of getting funding for its “ulterior agenda” from competitors and foreign governments.

The Agency Reacts To The Lawsuit
The CEO of the Center for Countering Digital Hate, Imran Ahmed, released a statement, claiming that Elon Musk shoots the messenger. He said, “Musk is trying to ‘shoot the messenger’ who highlights the toxic content on his platform rather than deal with the toxic environment he’s created.”
Imran continued, “CCDH has no intention of stopping our independent research – Musk will not bully us into silence.”
Ahmed accused Elon Musk of silencing criticism and independent research. The CEO added, “Elon Musk’s actions represent a brazen attempt to silence honest criticism and independent research.” Musk wants to “stem the tide of negative stories and rebuild his relationship with advertisers.” He refuted the claims of governments and other companies funding the non-profit research organization.
