It has been a turbulent ride to revamp Twitter as per the vision of Elon Musk! The billionaire’s trial-and-error approach to making Twitter into “a digital town square” has not been fruitful. When he acquired the platform in October 2022, he had several challenges to deal with. The foremost was to rejuvenate the financial dwindle that Twitter faced when advertisers pulled out advertisements, causing heavy losses.
However, to diversify the revenue channels, he introduced the $8/monthly subscriptions, which introduced a plethora of features that users can exclusively access. But Musk has been trying to make the platform conducive to content creators, like YouTube, providing them channels to monetize on Twitter. So, he introduced the ‘Subscriptions’ feature to the creators, where the followers can get access to exclusive content by paying $4. The Twitter owner can also monetize as much as almost $100,000 with this feature.

Elon Musk Has 24,700 Subscribers On Twitter
Elon Musk replaced the ‘Super Follows’ feature with ‘Subscriptions’ on April 13, 2023. He tweeted, “Apply to offer your followers subscriptions of any material, from long-form text to hours-long video! Just tap on ‘Monetization’ in settings.”
Twitter subscriptions can help creators to offer their followers “bonus content.” Creators with an iPhone or Android device in the USA, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia, can access the feature.
The Twitter owner can capitalize on his own opportunity. Elon Musk has 24,700 subscribers who have paid $4 to access exclusive content from Elon Musk. The subscribers will be able to be a part of the CEO’s “ask-me-anything” sessions. So, if 24,700 subscribers are paying him $4, he can earn $98,800 every month.

The Billionaire Restored Twitter Blue Check Marks Of Dead Celebrities
Elon Musk has become an unstoppable force, exploiting his own power to leave Twitter in shambles! When he bought the platform for $44 billion, the Tesla owner was against the blue checkmarks. Historically, these checkmarks have been used to authenticate the identity of an important organization and personality on Twitter, avoiding any impersonators to hijack their identities.
However, Musk thought that the checkmarks were given out in a “corrupt and nonsensical” way. So, he decided to do away with the checkmarks and allow the blue tick to only the Twitter Blue subscribers.
Nevertheless, Elon Musk’s endeavor failed miserably as many celebrities and organizations refused to pay for the Twitter Blue subscription. So, he restored the blue ticks for any personality or organization which has followers of more than 1 million. While doing so, he also restored the checkmarks of dead celebrities like Chadwick Boseman, Kobe Bryant, Kirstie Alley, and others. As Insider highlights, California Civil Code prohibits anybody from advertising their products with the likeness of a deceased personality.
