Elon Musk has been experimenting to push the limits of human possibilities and make civilization tech-savvy! The billionaire has been working to make Mars inhabitable for the human race. With Tesla, Musk wants to revolutionize the EV industry with the most efficient electric vehicles. However, with every experiment, he has pushed the limits, and Neuralink is the prime example of it.
Elon Musk has stirred controversy with his Neuralink tests being harsh on animals, and it allegedly euthanized 12 monkeys. However, the tech billionaire got approval from the FDA to conduct tests on humans. They are calling the tests PRIME, and the candidates eligible for the PRIME tests are people who are 22 and older and who are living with quadriplegia. Musk has now announced that he has successfully inserted an implant in a human brain.

Elon Musk Ensures Neuron Spike Detection After The Insertion Of Neuralink Chip
The revolutions in human civilizations cease to exist, and Elon Musk is propelling some of them! In May 2023, Elon Musk announced that Neuralink had gotten approval from the Food and Drug Administration for tests on human subjects. The clinical trials were called PRIME (Precise Robotically Implanted Brain-Computer Interface).
After almost a year since Elon Musk began the human trials, he claims that they have successfully inserted the implant in the human brain. The implant is called Telepathy. The device helps humans control any electronic device, including phones, by just thinking.

Elon Musk took to X, aka Twitter, to announce that they had successfully inserted the implant in the first human subject. He wrote that the person who received the implant is recovering well. Elon added, “Initial results show promising neuron spike detection.”

What Was The Controversy Over The Brain-Computer Interface?
Before Elon Musk’s Neuralink received the green light from the FDA, it was embroiled in controversy over the animal testing done by Musk. In 2022 and 2023, there were reports emerging about cruel practices implemented by Neuralink on monkeys and other animals.
The Congress asked the Securities and Exchange Commission to look into the testing of animals for implants. Elon Musk clarified in September 2023 about no harm being inflicted on animals, saying, “No monkey has died as a result of a Neuralink implant.” He added that, in order to reduce the risk, Neuralink used terminally ill monkeys for the experiments.
