After the Virginia Giuffre case became public, the Palace released a statement, saying, “The Duke of York will continue not to undertake any public duties and is defending this case as a private citizen”.
Prince Andrew’s friend talked to The Daily Beast about the difference between Prince Andrew, Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle. The friend said, “If you were Charles, would you rather have a problem that looks like Harry and Meghan or a problem that looks like Andrew? Andrew has taken his punishment, withdrawn from public life, and done whatever has been asked of him. He knows he has damaged the monarchy. So have Harry and Meghan.”
Andrew’s friend added, “The difference is [Andrew] deeply regrets it and it was not intentional, whereas Harry and Meghan deliberately set out to cause as much damage to Charles and Camilla as they could to sell books and TV shows. That’s an entirely different matter.”

A source closer to The Sun said, “Andrew is less bothered than people think about losing his titles and official royal roles. They have managed to set up a new working life away from the Royal Family and that is something Andrew has been following very, very closely. He is very interested in the businesses and charity side of things, rather than doing anything on Netflix.”
