In 2020, the couple signed a multi-year $20 million deal with Spotify for Meghan’s podcast ‘Archetypes.’ However, just after almost three years of signing the deal, they parted ways for reasons not cited. However, a report said that the lack of content led to this, and others said that the couple did not want exclusivity over their podcast. Now, the head of the podcast at Spotify has called out Meghan Markle and revealed her fear of too much damnation of the royal family.

Spotify officially parted ways with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in June 2023. Along with Archewell Audio, they released an official statement, saying, “Spotify and Archewell Audio have mutually agreed to part ways and are proud of the series we made together.”
Bill Simmons, Head of Podcast Innovation and Monetization at Spotify, blasted Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. During his podcast, he said, “The f***ing grifters. That’s the podcast we should have launched with them.”
During an interview with OK!, Tom Bower, a royal biographer, said, “All she’s got is the baggage of the Oprah Winfrey interview and her damnation of the Royal Family in various successive interviews.”
He continued, “That’s why she’s been so quiet the whole year. She knows they’ve probably gone too far and she doesn’t know how to get out of it now. What is fascinating is how it will end. What will the climax be?”

An article in The Wall Street Journal hinted at why Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are facing a crisis in terms of content creation. The outlet’s article referred to the couple’s lack of experience as a couple. The two are also facing hurdles while creating content beyond some scoop-worthy stories about the royal family.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle signed a $100 million deal with Netflix. The sources closer to both Netflix and Spotify said that the streaming giants “have been underwhelmed by the lack of productivity of the Sussexes.” The employees at the Archewell Foundation claim that the couple lacks direction and “at times seems surprised by the work required to finish entertainment projects.”
