Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have tainted the image of the royal family since they left. In 2020, the couple stepped back from royal duties due to increasing media intrusion and ill-treatment from the family. However, the couple retaliated by scathingly attacking the family via the content that they released.
However, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are now struggling to keep up their image as multi-million-dollar deals fall through. Recently, Spotify canceled its $20 million deal with the couple, and Netflix is rumored to also cancel the deal. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are in financial trouble, so they are finding their way back to the family. However, is the royal family ready to welcome them?
Royal Expert Does Not See Any End To The Royal Drama
In recent times, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have leveled serious accusations against the royal family. In December 2022, Netflix released the six-part docuseries titled ‘Harry & Meghan,’ in which Harry accused his brother of physically hurting him. Meghan, during the Oprah interview, accused an anonymous member of the royal family of racism.
Now, the two are seeking a place back in the family, but the royal expert, Sarah Hewson, does not think it will be possible soon.
Sarah Hewson told Sky News Australia, “The damage, the wounds, are so deep that it’s going to take an awful lot and an awful long time to heal those wounds. At this stage, I just don’t see any evidence that there’s a desire, on either side, yet to put an end to this.”

The Drama Is Overshadowing The Good Work Done By Prince Harry And Meghan Markle
Sarah Hewson added, “The real shame about this is all the good work that Harry and Meghan said that they wanted to do [and] that incredible work that Harry has done with Invictus Games, for example, has utterly [been] overshadowed by all of this family drama and it being played out in the media.”
The only solution that Prince Harry and Meghan have, according to her, is to stop maligning the image of the family. She concluded, “The best thing that they could really do is focus on that work now, put aside that family spat, and really get on with the things that they said they wanted to do. Make a difference [and] just serve, as we hear them say, and maybe then things will start to look up.”
