King Charles III Forced Kate Middleton To Remain Absent To Avoid Meghan Markle
When the news came out that Queen Elizabeth II was seriously ill and the family was present, Kate Middleton was not seen with them at Balmoral Palace. She remained in London to attend to her children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, on the first day of their school. However, a royal author has now claimed that King Charles III deliberately asked Kate not to attend to avoid Meghan Markle.
Royal author Robert Jobson has written a new book about King Charles III. In the book, he alleged that Charles asked the Prince of Wales to tell Kate not to come so that Meghan Markle would not come either.
During an interview with the Daily Telegraph Australia, he said, “If Catherine doesn’t come, Meghan can’t either, it’s not appropriate for the wives to attend.” He continued, “Harry was insisting Meghan travel with him to Scotland as the Queen’s life ebbed away but the King said it was only for the children and grandchildren to be with the Queen.”
However, as per the author, the purpose of Charles not letting Kate and Meghan go was different. Robert added, “Privately, he wanted to say Meghan was not welcome but he couldn’t say that to Harry so he personally intervened and asked Kate to stay back so that it was fairer on Meghan.”
Kate wanted to meet the Queen for the last time, but because of Markle, she could not. In the book, Jobson wrote, “Kate deliberately stayed away, but she desperately wanted to be there with the Queen in her last moments. That’s eaten Kate up and has built up resentment towards Meghan.”

The Duchess Of Sussex Will Not Attend King Charles III’s Coronation
After Queen Elizabeth II’s death, King Charles III will be the heir to the throne. After her death, Charles officially ascended the throne. But, on May 6, 2023, the family will ceremoniously crown him as king of the British monarchy at Westminster Abbey. The Royal Family will be in attendance to witness the state-wide affair. However, it was uncertain whether Meghan Markle and Prince Harry would join the ceremony after their bombshell revelations.
But, King Charles III sent an official invitation to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Even after the invitation, it was not certain that the two will attend the ceremony. Nonetheless, the palace confirmed that Prince Harry will be present during the coronation ceremony. But, in the official statement, Buckingham Palace confirmed that Meghan Markle and her children will not attend the ceremony.
As per sources, Meghan Markle does not want to attract attention toward her. The source continued, “Meghan doesn’t want any more rifts. She wants her children to know their grandfather, Charles, particularly when they are not going to know their other grandfather.” The source told RadioOnline that the actress hopes that her decision “will be seen as an unselfish one.”
