But the family has come with another statement, confirming Lil Tay and her brother’s well-being. They claimed the Instagram account was hacked. The news of the social media star and her brother’s death was nothing but a hoax. It’s still unclear why it took 24 hours for her to contact her family and fans about his unfortunate information.

Lil Tay’s Official Statement On The Rumours Of Her Death
Lil Tay gave TMZ an official statement to clear the rumors of her death. It reads, “I want to make it clear that my brother and I are safe and alive, but I’m completely heartbroken and struggling to even find the right words to say. It’s been a very traumatizing 24 hours. All day yesterday, I was bombarded with endless heartbreaking and tearful phone calls from loved ones all while trying to sort out this mess.”
The statement also read, “My Instagram account was compromised by a 3rd party and used to spread jarring misinformation and rumors regarding me, to the point that even my name was wrong. My legal name is Tay Tian, not “Claire Hope”.” The controversial rapper also thanks Meta for helping delete the false post and recover her Instagram account.
