Disney goes woke! The decades-old parks are ready to change their way and adapt to the modern setting. For this, they have joined the bandwagon of wokeism and are ditching the term ‘fairy godmothers’. Instead, these terms would be replaced by gender-neutral titles at dress-up salons across Disney’s theme parks.
These salons, give makeovers and help kids aged 3 to 12 dress up as princesses, knights, and other characters. But this step doesn’t seem to resonate with the general public.

Disney Changes Title Of Godmothers to ‘Apprentices’
Disney will now drop the term ‘fairy godmothers in training’ and instead use apprentices. Thie company claims that this decision was taken to create an all-inclusive environment, especially for the cast members that might not identify as female. Now they can still be part of the process of dressing up the children without having to refer to themselves as a female Disney character.
The sweeping change is set to come into effect in August. At a time when the boutiques in both Disney World and Disneyland reopen from long-term closures brought about by the pandemic. The move is seemingly being considered as appeasement of a small percentage of aggressive ‘woke’ commentators.
Last year the company adopted divisive and ideologically driven ‘critical race theory’ as part of their employee training. They even changed the parks’ classic ‘ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls!’ greeting to ‘everyone and dreamers of all ages.’ A move designed to help everyone of all genders and sexualities to “feel comfortable in the park.”
Disney CEO Bob Chapek, who has been part of the entertainment giant since February 2020 has presided over the changes. He also recently signed a contract to continue his tenure at the company for another three years. The stock of the company plummeted a whopping 41 percent in the past year.
People Are Flooding The Internet With Their Disapproval
The change prompted a storm of criticism on social media. Most users mock the company for what many see as bending to the woke mob. They predict that now Disney might go broke and refuse to believe it’s real.
