When three powerhouse lawyers quit their firm to build something of their own, you’d expect sparks to fly, both in and out of the courtroom. But in the new Disney+ series ‘All’s Fair‘, Kim Kardashian faces a storm of criticism instead.
Even though it was meant to be her big acting moment, it has turned into one of the year’s most talked-about TV disasters, and not for the reasons she hoped. Let’s just say, not even its all-star cast could save it from what came next.
Kim Kardashian’s Big Gamble On ‘All’s Fair’ Backfires

Before everything spiraled, ‘All’s Fair‘ looked like a surefire hit. The Disney+ series, created by ‘American Horror Story‘s Ryan Murphy, with Jon Robin Baitz and Joe Baken. Kim Kardashian stars as one of three female divorce lawyers, alongside Naomi Watts and Niecy Nash-Betts, who walk out of a male-led law firm to start their own practice.

The cast was stacked, too. Sarah Paulson, Glenn Close, and Teyana Taylor all joined the show. Taylor, who’s already being talked about for a possible Oscar for her role in ‘One Battle After Another‘ with Leonardo DiCaprio, added even more star power. Everything about the show screamed “hit.” But when it finally dropped on 4 November, the reaction was the complete opposite.
Critics Tear Into ‘All’s Fair’ With Rare 0% Rating

All’s Fair has officially made history, but not the kind anyone wants. The show got an incredibly rare zero percent score on Rotten Tomatoes, meaning not one critic gave it a positive review. The Times gave it zero stars, calling it “possibly the worst television drama ever made.” Reviewer Ben Dowell even joked that it felt like it was written “by a toddler who couldn’t write ‘bum’ on a wall.”
Over at The Guardian, Lucy Mangan also gave it zero stars. She said she didn’t even know TV this bad could still exist. She called the show “fascinatingly, incomprehensibly, existentially terrible.” The Telegraph’s Ed Power said it wouldn’t be fair to blame only Kim, since “her participation is just one disaster among many.” Still, her name was hard to ignore, especially since she also produced the show with her mom, Kris Jenner.
Even with all the negativity, Kim Kardashian has handled things calmly. In an interview with BBC, she called the costars “the best acting coaches in the world.” She admitted that the team “took a chance on working with” her, knowing she came from a reality TV background.

Kim had worked with Ryan Murphy before on ‘American Horror Story‘, so this project seemed like a natural next step. Still, the tough reviews have turned it into one of her biggest challenges yet. After all, a zero per cent rating of ‘All’s Fair‘ is about as rare as it gets. Especially for a show by Disney+ and loaded with famous faces, that’s unexpected.
But funny enough, that’s also what’s keeping it in the news. People are now tuning in out of curiosity to see if it’s really as bad as everyone says.
