Cassie And Nate’s Toxic Love Story Might Take An Even Darker Turn In ‘Euphoria’ Season 3

After three long, drama-filled years of waiting, ‘Euphoria’ season 3 is finally taking shape, and from the looks of it, things are about to get darker, messier, and far more complicated than ever before.

Set photos have surfaced online, and fans can’t stop talking about one particular revelation: Cassie (Sydney Sweeney) and Nate (Jacob Elordi) might actually be married in the upcoming season. Yes, you read that right, married.

Cassie And Nate’s Marriage Might Be The Main Focus Of ‘Euphoria’ Season 3

For a show known for chaos and heartbreak, this storyline might just be the boldest move yet. However, while this news is bad for Cassie’s already fragile emotional state, it’s shaping up to be very good for ‘Euphoria’ itself. The new season is reportedly set after a time jump. And from what fans have seen through leaked set photos, Cassie and Nate’s relationship seems to have evolved from a toxic situationship into something that looks like marriage.

Sydney Sweeney was spotted in full bridal attire on set, walking down the aisle at a wedding ceremony. At first, fans dismissed it as one of ‘Euphoria’s signature dream sequences. After all, Sam Levinson loves to blur the line between fantasy and reality. However, recent behind-the-scenes shots show Sweeney wearing a wedding ring, suggesting this isn’t just another cinematic illusion. It looks like Cassie and Nate’s twisted romance will take center stage again.

For anyone who remembers season 2, the pairing of Cassie and Nate was one of the most polarizing storylines. Their secret affair behind Maddy’s back was one of the main storylines. Cassie’s desperate need for validation and Nate’s manipulative tendencies made their connection both captivating and painful to watch. If season 3 continues down this path, we can expect their relationship to become even more suffocating and destructive. However, that’s exactly what could make the show thrive again.

Jacob Elordi Promises A “Clever And Cinematic” Season

While fans are still dissecting every pixel of leaked wedding photos, Jacob Elordi has finally broken his silence about the highly anticipated new season. Unsurprisingly, his words have only added to the intrigue. Speaking at the Academy Museum Gala, the actor described season 3 as “incredibly liberating” and “something so far out” from anything he’s done before. Elordi, who has played Nate since the show’s debut, praised creator Sam Levinson’s vision for the upcoming season. He claimed it’s “incredibly clever and cinematic.”

In case you missed it: Sydney Sweeney Promises ‘Euphoria’ Season 3 Will Be “More Unhinged”

That’s high praise coming from someone who’s been at the center of ‘Euphoria’s most complex and controversial storylines. Interestingly, Elordi also revealed that he doesn’t know what the rest of the cast is filming. “Everybody shoots at different storylines,” he explained. “I don’t know what anyone else is doing. I had a really singular storyline.” That suggests season 3 could adopt a more fragmented narrative approach. It could focus deeply on individual characters rather than the entire ensemble.

And if Elordi’s “singular storyline” means Nate’s arc is largely self-contained, it’s possible we’ll get an even more psychological, introspective view of his character. The actor also took a moment to clarify a circulating rumor: no, season 3 wasn’t shot entirely on VistaVision, the high-resolution film format used for ‘Top Gun: Maverick’. “I did not say that, that is not true,” Elordi laughed, before confirming that multiple film types were used, each chosen to make the show look “beautiful.
