‘House of the Dragon’ season two’s first look already got the fans more excited than they already were. The poster features Emma D’Arcy’s Rhaenyra Targaryen and Olivia Cooke’s Alicent Hightower in a sizzling faceoff with the title Blood for Blood and Fire to Fire.
The first season ended with the death of the Lucerys Velaryon at the hands of Aemond Targaryen and his dragon Vhagar which led to a promise of a brutal battle. The teaser showcases a dragon, a huge cast of characters, and the onset of the war.
New Riders Will Claim Dragons Along With The Quest For Dragonseed
Season one revealed several unclaimed dragons that can be used to support the forces of the Blacks, in the trailer of season two, a glimpse of Ahaenrya and her dragon Syrax coming face to face with Seasmoke with an unknown entity is seen, is it said to be Addam of Hull, the bastard of Laenor Velaryon claiming Seasmoke? In the books, he is a dragon seed hired by the Black to claim one of the riderless dragons.
‘House Of The Dragon’ Season Two Will Start With Civil War
In the trailer, we see various characters talking about the beginning of the war and the tragedy behind it. From Otto Hightower, Alicent Hightower to Rhaenys Targaryen speak about the loom of darkness brought forth by the war especially because of the sin committed by Aemond, making him a kingslayer. And also the war will make the houses turn on each other.
Two New Houses Are Introduced In Season Two
In the trailer, the Blacks’ classic Targaryen sigil, the red three-headed dragon on black, and the Hightower sigil of the tower on the green are seen. Along with that new sigil of House Rosby, three red chevrons on ermine and ouse Stokeworth’s sigil is a white lamb holding a goblet on a green field is also spotted. However, it is unclear from the trailer on whose side they are on.
Rhaenyra Mourns Her Son Lucerys’ Death
Season one ends with the death of Lucerys‘ death, which enraged Rhaenyra to kick off a civil war. The trailer of season two opens with Rhaenyra mourning her son’s death at the shores of Shipbreaker Bay where he fell. “A Blood for Blood, Eye for an Eye, and A Son for a Son” seems to be the motive behind the civil war.
Blood And Cheese Will Make The Series Gruesome Than It Already Is
In the trailer, Blood and Cheese are seen attacking Helaena, and one of them also kills Aegon and Helaena’s children, Jaehaerys. According to the books, Blood and Cheese are the names of the assassins hired by Daemon hires two assassins to infiltrate the Red Keep.
