‘House of the Dragon’ is based on George R.R. Martin’s book ‘Fire & Blood’, which narrates the events of the Targaryen dynasty that ruled Westeros for nearly 300 years. ‘Fire & Blood’ includes the Dance of Dragons while the HBO series adaptation zooms in on details that were missed in the books.
As ‘House of the Dragon’ season two returns in the Summer of 2024, here are all the exciting events to look forward to that are inspired by its source material.

When compared to ‘Game of Thrones’, ‘House of the Dragon’ has introduced more new dragons. But with season two, fans are expecting to view more dragons, including an adult version of Aegon and Helaena’s Sunfyre and Dreamfyre. There are a few unclaimed wild dragons and Baela Targaryen’s Moondancer, that might appear in season two.

‘House of the Dragon’ season one introduced the fans to Ser Erryk Cargyll and Ser Arryk Cargyll, the twin brothers who served on the Kingsguard. Eventually, the twins side on opposite sides during the war.

6. Jacaerys And Cregan Go Beyond The Wall
When Jacaerys visits Cregan in the North, they befriend each other quickly as they plan a journey beyond the Wall. The Wall is one of the most beautiful and scenic sites in Westeros. It will be interesting to see The Wall for the first time in ‘House of the Dragon’ and if the studio will make some changes in the design and CGI of The Wall.
5. The Dance Of The Dragons Truly Begins As War Spreads Across Westeros
Similar to ‘Games of Thrones’, a war for the throne is inevitable. Targaryens will fight Targaryens, dragons will fight dragons leaving everyone in the pool of blood.
