As Season 1 of ‘Love Story‘ wraps up, the creator is in no mood to slow down. After making us all drool over the iconic duo of John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette, it seems like he has some solid plans for the next season.
While FX has not yet confirmed a second season, Hines has teased a potential direction that could take the series deeper into Hollywood’s most intense and unforgettable romances.
Connor Hines Hints At The Next ‘Love Story’ Couple

While talking to Vanity Fair, Connor Hines revealed the famous couple he has in mind. If all goes well and the series returns for the next installment, he’ll go for, “Maybe Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton.” Hines added, “They have the right intensity.”

Taylor and Burton’s relationship has its roots in Hollywood, filled with passion and turbulence. Hines thinks it aligns perfectly with the kind of storytelling ‘Love Story‘ has delivered so far.
The first season of ‘Love Story‘ has already laid a strong foundation, with a dramatic portrayal of John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette. There was romance, public pressure, and whatnot, and now, Hines appears ready to build on it with an even messier pairing.
The Stormy Romance of Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton

Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton first became involved during the filming of ‘Cleopatra‘ in 1963. Back then, both were married to different partners, though. Taylor with Eddie Fisher, and Burton with his first wife, Sybil Williams.
After meeting on set, their romance moved forward at lightning speed. The duo’s affair quickly drew a lot of media attention, and by early 1964, both had ended their previous marriages and married each other.

Reflecting on that period, Taylor openly acknowledged her emotional nature and the choices she made. “I’ve always admitted that I’m ruled by my passions, and I can’t pretend I didn’t know what I was doing when I became involved with Richard,” she wrote in her memoir, ‘Elizabeth Takes Off.’
Soon after their relationship went public, it became popular for its extremes. The couple traveled extensively, spent lavishly, and frequently argued in public. Over time, their dramatic bond earned them the nickname “the Battling Burtons.”
Eventually, the couple filed for a divorce in 1974, after their 10th wedding anniversary. But the story takes another interesting turn for these lovebirds. The duo got remarried in October 1975, only to divorce again in July 1976.
Despite the ups and downs, Taylor later reflected on their time together with no regrets. “Even though there were rough times, I wouldn’t give up one minute of my time with Richard Burton,” she wrote.
Now we can’t wait for this stormy love story to hit our screens soon. We are eager to see if the second season can carry forward the legacy the first season left behind.
