‘Game Of Thrones‘ fandom is gearing up as HBO has announced the sale of hundreds of props from the series. The show ended five years ago, but it has carved an important space in television history. In an auction that is a golden opportunity for fans, interested parties can buy the memorabilia and collect pieces of this drama series.
The auction is scheduled for October and will be held by Heritage Auctions. The portfolio of objects from the auction includes very popular props like Jon Snow’s sword – Longclaw. We can expect some clashing of fat figures over these props. The authenticity and quality of the props have also been sanctioned by the studio. Here’s all we know about them.
From Longclaw To Needle, Which Props Are Up For Auction?
Heritage Auctions has released a portfolio listing the items up for auction from the ‘Game Of Thrones’ series. More than 2000 items are put up for auction including the swords of beloved characters such as Ned Stark’s Longsword, Arya Stark’s Needle, and Jon Snow’s Longclaw. Many of Daenerys Targaryen’s cloaks, her wedding dress, and even dragon eggs and skulls are set for the auction.

Many of Cersei Lannister’s dresses and the full golden body armor of Jamie Lannister are also on display. Moreover, the Iron Throne has started the bid at $6000. Since the showrunners have agreed on seven spin-offs, they have accordingly decided which items they shall use for filming.
HBO’s senior vice president of global incentives and production planning, Jay Roewe has stated that this auction can be GOT fandom’s chance to “grab a piece of history.”
All About The ‘Game Of Thrones’ Auction
Sanctioned by HBO, Heritage Auction will conduct the bidding of the ‘Game Of Thrones’ memorabilia. The items are currently open for preliminary bidding. The collection will be displayed in its New York and London centers from September 17 to October 4. Finally, the auction will take place from October 10 to October 12 in Dallas, USA.

Jay Roewe, HBO’s senior vice president of global incentives and production planning, has guaranteed the quality of the props would be up to the standards. He stated to the Associated Press, “These items have been curated and taken care of since we finished filming. They are the quality that they were when we finished filming, and we’ve had people working on them for years to keep them in shape. We don’t need them anymore. It’s time to finally open it up to the world.”
