According to an announcement made over the weekend, Snowpiercer will be ending after its fourth season. The show was made for the TNT network in the United States, but it was distributed worldwide on Netflix, except in the United States and China.
The show was very popular among viewers but TNT decided to cancel the show. The series will complete its season four run but will not return for the fifth season.

Netflix Is Losing Yet Another Well-known Science Fiction Show
Netflix is known for canceling fan favorite shows after one or two seasons. The latest series to get canceled is Snowpiercer. The news was verified by Deadline, which also included a remark from a TNT spokeswoman: “We can confirm that Snowpiercer will end after a successful, multi-season run on TNT. Its talented writers, actors, and crew took an extraordinary premise and brought it to life in thrilling ways. It was critically acclaimed, had a significant impact on the post-apocalyptic genre, and now remains in the hearts and minds of fans forever.”
Turner Network Television is owned by Warner Bros. Discovery a basic cable channel that focuses on airing classic films and television series, with repeats of popular police procedurals like Bones and Cold Case taking up the majority of its schedule, especially during the day. In terms of original programming, Snowpiercer and Animal Kingdom are the only two programs that are presently in their respective fifth and final seasons.
Despite positive critical reception and a new showrunner, Paul Zbyszewski, who took over from Manson for season four, TNT officials have concluded that the show has reached the end of its useful lifespan.
According to a Deadline story, the combination of Discovery and WarnerMedia has hastened TNT’s intention to eliminate all of its original shows.

Set in a future where the earth has been turned into a frozen wasteland, Snowpiercer follows passengers on board a train named Snowpiercer, which is a massive, continually rolling train that carries human remains.
Mr. Wilford, an eccentric millionaire, designed and built the train, which contains over 1,000 coaches, some of which are the height of luxury, while others are barely kept together, resulting in perpetual friction and tension among the occupants.
Mickey Sumner, Ali Wright, Ido Goldberg, and Sean Bean all had significant parts in the program. Jennifer Connelly and Daveed Diggs also appeared in supporting roles.
