He admitted that those differences had become “untenable,” which makes it difficult for him to continue. However, he has no hard feelings towards the show. In fact, he spoke quite warmly about his connection to the character, saying he fell in love with Sully and still has nothing but fondness for him.

Now, we are getting a similar vibe from Murray, who has reassured fans that Sully will still play a significant role in the story. He emphasized, “He still exists in this world, and there’s still that relationship.” So, the emotional connection between Maggie and Sully will not disappear anytime soon.

Lastly, he also pointed out, “He built the Crossing, so it’s always going to be there, and that’s kind of the foundation that the show is built on.” So, even though Scott Patterson has left the show, ‘Sullivan’s Crossing‘ will remain true to its roots.
