In an interview with TV Guide at SDCC ’24, Crawford was asked about the ideal way for The Deep to meet his end, to which Crawford replied, “A dream death pitch? Drowning somehow. It’d be really odd, I don’t know…Drowns in a bowl of soup. I just hope I live“.

While Crawford’s suggestion would make for a very ironic end for The Deep, it remains to be seen if Eric Kripke and the others behind the show go down that route. Season 5 will need to conclude all the storylines of the characters in a satisfying way as it serves as the one-and-done final season.

Regardless of how The Deep’s, fate plays out, fans are hugely anticipating the final season.
