The media moguls have made a comeback in the reality television space. After 20 successfully running seasons and spinoffs, Keeping Up With The Kardashians bid adieu to the fans. However, the family has made a comeback with The Kardashians. The series premiered its first episode on Hulu, Disney+, and Star+ on April 14th, 2022. The stardom that the family amassed has made the first episode the most viewed in the USA.
The Kardashians Is The Most Viewed Star Original Series
The streaming platform, Hulu is one of the mammoth streaming platforms in the States. It is largely owned by The Walt Disney Company. After twenty prosperous seasons on E! The family decided to join hands with Hulu for their new series. Hulu declared that The Kardashians has become the most-streamed series premiere in the history of US television.
A Hulu spokesperson said, “The Kardashians’ is the most-watched series premiere on Hulu in the United States, and on Disney+ and Star+ among Star Originals, across all global markets to date.” The platform professes that the series is the most-watched Star Original series across the global markets on Star+ and Disney+. It is the most-streamed series premiere in 83 countries where Disney+, Hulu, and Star+ are available.
Due to policy obligations, Hulu did not reveal the statistics. Apart from the number of subscribers necessary for shareholders, the parent company’s streamers have never revealed viewership statistics. The following claim is based on the hours of viewing across the platforms in three days since it premiered on April 14th, 2022.
The Whole Kardashian Clan Is The Executive Producer On The Show
The family shifted its streaming base to Hulu. As per the deal, they will air 40 episodes (10 episodes per season.) The new era, different from that of when the family started, will be more opulent, structured rather than a home-based documentary.
Kris Jenner, along with daughters Kourtney Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian, Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, and Kendall Jenner will also be working as Executive Producer on the show. They are paid a nine-figure amount as per speculations.
Dana Walden, Chairman Of Entertainment at Walt Disney Television told Variety, “They [Kardashians] perfectly symbolize our strategy, which is taking big shots, but the right shots, and betting on incredible talent and best-in-class opportunities in each genre.”
