After waiting nearly a decade for ‘The Night Manager‘ to return, fans finally have new episodes to enjoy, but many quickly started asking the same question: Will the story continue beyond this comeback season?
That uncertainty has now taken the route of excitement because the man at the center of the series has spoken. Tom Hiddleston has now addressed the future of the show himself.
Tom Hiddleston Finally Answers The Looming Question About ‘The Night Manager‘

Tom Hiddleston shared the major update while appearing on This Morning, where he promoted the new season of ‘The Night Manager‘. During the chat, the conversation turned directly to whether the story would continue. Host Ben Shephard asked him outright if more was coming. Hiddleston’s answer left little room for doubt and immediately signaled that the BBC drama is not wrapping up with series two. He explained that the creators designed the current run as the start of a 12-episode story. They approached it with a longer arc in mind, which allowed them to imagine where the narrative could go next because they already expected another season.
Season 2 Was Built To Lead Somewhere

The new season premiered on New Year’s Day on BBC One and brought back Hiddleston as undercover operative Jonathan Pine. Pine continues to use identities like Alex Goodwin and Matthew Ellis as he navigates dangerous missions. The original finale nearly ten years ago drew more than 10 million viewers, proving how strong the show’s following remains.
Several familiar faces returned as well, including Olivia Colman, Douglas Hodge, Michael Nardone, and Noah Jupe. Their presence ties the new storyline to the original world that viewers loved.

The show also introduced new characters played by Diego Calva, Camila Morrone, Indira Varma, Paul Chahidi, and Hayley Squires. These additions expand the story and create fresh tension around Pine’s operations. Midseason, the drama surprised viewers by bringing back Pine’s enemy Richard Roper. And that return raises the stakes and takes the storyline a step ahead.
Hiddleston hinted that the show may be heading toward a trilogy and noted that trilogies are satisfying from a narrative standpoint. When Cat Deeley joked about another ten-year wait, he quickly reassured fans that it would arrive much sooner. He even laughed that if they waited another decade, he would be 55 and might not be as physically active on screen. So, we can expect Season 3 of ‘The Night Manager‘ to hit the screens soon.
