“Nature Says Happy Pride”: Rainbow Waterfall Video Goes Viral On Twitter

The beauty of nature is truly beyond our imagination. A video of a rainbow waterfall caused by high winds at Yosemite National Park, California, has washed social media with happy colors. People have been describing the rare natural phenomenon as breathtaking. Many pointed out how it’s nature’s way of saying “Happy Pride Month”.

The footage is believed to be from 2017 and was captured by photographer Greg Harlow. The video has resurfaced on Twitter and social media users can’t believe how magical the video looks.

Rainbow Waterfall At Yosemite Looks Spectacular

The video shows a waterfall cascading between mountains and changing colors as the sun’s rays bounce off the water. The incredible phenomenon occurs due to high winds. The cascading waterfall video was posted on Twitter with the caption, “Very high winds at the perfect time of day created a previously undocumented 2,400-foot rainbow waterfall in Yosemite National Park.”

Greg, who is believed to have captured the original video, had talked about his experience of witnessing the colorful waterfall. He said, “I was at Glacier Point in Yosemite National Park, which is a famous spot to view the sunrise over the Sierra Nevada Mountains in California. We brought our coffee maker to the location, and hung out for an hour or so when completely unexpected, we saw colors start to appear on Yosemite Falls.”

He added, “First it was red, then it worked its way across the spectrum to a full rainbow. We were two of only about ten people to witness this. The spot was empty because it was so windy that morning. We lost it when we saw what was happening. It was beautiful. It was truly a rare occurrence thanks to a special set of circumstances, but the main factor at play here was the extremely high winds, which are uncommon in the Yosemite Valley. This allowed the full spectrum to span the entire 1,450-foot waterfall. Magical certainly is the right word. You can see the waterfall off the cliff and get immediately sprayed into mist by the high winds.”

People Are Blown Away By The Video And Discuss Its Significance For Pride Month

The amazing video of the rainbow waterfall has 1.4 million views on Twitter. One person wrote, “Nature never ceases to amaze.”

However, some took to the comments section to point out why the video was marked for ‘sensitive content’ and others rejoiced about Pride month. A comment read, “Why would this video be seen as sensitive? Because it contains a rainbow? Am I going to turn gay by seeing a waterfall catching the light? OMG!!!”

Another person wrote, “YOSEMITE SAID HAPPY PRIDE.”
