‘Dragon Ball‘ has multiple characters coming from different races, some are gods, some are an angel and some are humans. All of these characters however are unique in their way, be it their power levels or their abilities.
One of the unique characters in the anime is Beerus, who is a god of destruction. He is undoubtedly one of the strongest characters in the anime. But fans wonder if Goku and Vegeta, two of the most powerful fighters in the series, are stronger than him. Let’s find out.

Who Is Beerus In ‘Dragon Ball’?
Beerus is the god of destruction for universe 7 which is Goku and Vegeta’s universe. As a god of destruction, he has immense powers and can destroy anyone who poses a threat to his assigned universe. Beerus has a twin who is also a god of destruction who governs the universe 6.
Beerus was introduced as an antagonist but became a side character later in the series. Appearance-wise, Beerus looks like a cat. He is almost as tall as Goku and has pointy ears and purple skin. His eyes are yellow and like a feline’s.
Personality-wise, Beerus also resembles a cat. He is lazy and playful. He likes to have long sleep sessions and hates to be awakened. Despite his similarities to a cat, there is no denying the fact that he is one of the strongest characters in the series.
Are Goku And Vegeta Stronger Than Him?
Goku is the main character of the series and is very powerful. His ultra instinct transformation was previously unheard of and is considered the state of gods. Ultra instinct Goku has the potential to overcome Beerus in terms of power and may have achieved it.
Vegeta was unable to unlock the ultra instinct, unlike Goku. That doesn’t mean that he is weak, in response to his inability to unlock ultra instinct, he unlocked ultra ego. Ultra ego is a transformation used by the gods of destruction and can only be learned by those who trained in the ways of a destroyer. Using this form, Vegeta may be able to surpass Beerus as ‘Dragon Ball‘ continues.
Individually Goku and Vegeta have less chance to surpass Beerus than they do if they work together. Ultra-instinct Goku and ultra-ego Vegeta together may be able to defeat Beerus. But the fact remains that in their current power level, it is unlikely that Goku and Vegeta are stronger than the god of destruction Beerus.
