Shigaraki Tomura, one of the primary antagonists in ‘My Hero Academia‘, is a particularly strong foe. He, who served as All for One’s pupil, was groomed to succeed him as the world’s greatest threat, and he is already fulfilling that role.
Shigaraki is incredibly strong, especially following the operation performed by Dr. Kyudai Garaki. Because of his new body, which is equipped with new abilities that can accomplish the impossible, no one seems to be able to defeat him at the moment. But not all of his assets are created equal.

How powerful is Shigaraki Tomura?
With more power than even his master All for One, Tomura can engage in a fight with any Pro Hero thanks to his physical prowess and cerebral prowess. Tomura, the head of the League of Villains, has complete control over his strong followers. Tomura’s overall talents surpass those of all the Pro-Heroes when Kyudai Garaki alters his body to the point where they are comparable to All Might’s abilities prior to the advent of One For All.
Because of his great strength and ability to defeat one of the greatest heroes in the world, Star and Stripe, Tomura eventually became feared on a global scale. Eventually, the world was so terrified of him that countries, like the United States, are already preparing to swear allegiance to him in order to limit casualties should Tomura seek them out.
Why Does He Wear Hands On His Body?
Shigaraki is covered in the hands of his deceased family members. The hands specifically belong to Tenko’s mother, father, grandmother, sister Hana, and his mother and sister, whom he killed with his quirk when it first appeared. After Tenko killed the first two thugs who stood in the way of Tomura Shigaraki’s true transformation, All for One would later add two more pairs of hands, that belonged to those two thugs.
Although it may not have been difficult to discern the origin of Shigaraki’s hands, the reason for wearing them is more revelatory and intriguing. It turns out that All For One made the hand attachments for Tenko to wear in order to constantly remind him of the boy’s itch for killing and destruction, reminding him that this itch is what truly defines him as “Tomura Shigaraki,” while also balancing that bloodlust by reminding the boy of his own suffering.
