    Kurama, most commonly known as the Nine-Tails, was one of the nine-tailed beasts in the anime ‘Naruto’. Kurama for centuries was regarded as the mindless monster. Many sought after the beast as a tool for war. This enraged the nine-tailed fox to an extent of hating humans.

    In the anime, the nine-tails is sealed into the titular character, Naruto Uzumaki. Kurama insists on the cynical perspective of the world. However, Naruto’s persistence on treating the world with respect, overturned Kurama’s hatred to use the power for the world’s salvation.     How Did Kurama Come Into Being?

    Kurama and the tailed beasts first came into being in the waning days of Hagoromo Otsutsuki. He used his Creation of All Things Technique to divide the Ten-Tails’ chakra into nine separate bodies and giving them each a name. Sometimes after their creation, the Sage explained to the tailed beasts that a link existed between them despite their separation.

    He also made sure to let the beasts know that someday they would all re-unite and during that time someone would emerge to show the beasts what true power is. InNaruto, before the Sage died, he sent Kurama to live in a temple. The purpose was to protect the temple in a forest region with mountains that would later become part of the Land of Fire.

    What Is The Nine-Tails Personality?

    Kurama is evidently the most snarky and shrewd character ever. It uses “washi” when referring to itself, which is generally used by older men. The nine-tails also has great pride in its power. It believes itself to be the strongest of the tailed beasts due to its belief that the strength is determined by the number of tails. This belief earned Kurama a lot of disapproval from its brethren, especially Shukaku.

    The nine-tails also gets jealous whenever Naruto uses a power other than its own. Kurama holds great respect to the Sage, it is shown during the tailed beasts youth that the fox shed tears after the death of the Sage. Indefinitely, the fox is often harsh, but deep down it has a supportive disposition, as it express concern about its comrades. It even gave some words of encouragement to Kawaki.
