How Did Kurama Come Into Being?

Kurama and the tailed beasts first came into being in the waning days of Hagoromo Otsutsuki. Sometimes after their creation, the Sage explained to the tailed beasts that a link existed between them despite their separation.

He also made sure to let the beasts know that someday they would all re-unite and during that time someone would emerge to show the beasts what true power is. InNaruto, before the Sage died, he sent Kurama to live in a temple. The purpose was to protect the temple in a forest region with mountains that would later become part of the Land of Fire.
