‘Naruto’ is one of the anime which has some of the strongest and most unique characters in all of the anime world. Many people argue that ‘Naruto’ is partial to its male characters, and female characters are often depicted as useless and helpless. This, however, cannot be further from the truth.
It has many female characters that are extremely powerful and are not helpless in any way whatsoever. One of the strongest characters in the series is Uzumaki Kushina. Read to find out who she is and just how strong she is.

Who Is Uzumaki Kushina?
Uzumaki Kushina is one of the strongest Kunoichi in ‘Naruto’. She is Uzumaki Naruto’s mother and her son takes after a lot of her personality. She is a descendant of the Uzumaki clan which is famous for its high chakra reserves as well as its sealing jutsu or fuinjutsu. Kushina is very hot-headed and has a short temper.
She came to Konoha to become the jinchuriki for the nine tails, Kurama. Kushina joined the academy where Minato Namikaze was also studying. She and Minato met each other and after a lot of meetings and unfortunate events, fell for each other and got married after many years.
Both Kushina and Minato died the day Obito attacked the village with the nine-tailed beast. They died saving their son, Uzumaki Naruto and then Minato made Naruto the jinchuriki of the nine tails.
How Strong Is She?
Uzumaki Kushina is extremely powerful and that was made clear in the anime despite her not having a lot of screen time. She was an Uzumaki and due to that fact alone, her chakra reserves were high. However, even by Uzumaki standards, Kushina had extremely high chakra.
She was asked to be the jinchuriki due to her high chakra reserves as well as her knowledge of fuinjutsu. After Kurama was sealed inside her, her chakra shot up to the point that almost no other Shinobi could compare. She was well-learned in the fuinjutsu techniques and was considered a prodigy. She taught many of the sealing techniques to Minato and they came in handy for him in many situations.
In another astonishing feat, Kushina managed to use the extremely draining adamantine sealing chains right after she gave birth to Naruto. She was almost on the verge of dying, but she managed to use the Chainsaw and subdue Kurama completely. This proves just how strong Uzumaki Kushina was. Jiraiya and Tsunade, two of the three legendary Sannin, acknowledge Kushina’s strength and powers.
