Who Is Trafalgar D Law?
One of the key players in ‘One Piece’ is Trafalgar D Law, also referred to as Trafalgar Law. He is a supporting actor in the Paramount War Saga. In the Dressrosa Saga, he plays the deuteragonist. In the Yonko Saga, he plays a crucial supporting role as well. He is one of ‘One Piece’s most villainous pirates. Law also travels with a nodachi, which he combines with his Devil Fruit abilities. It has a cross-decorated scabbard that runs the length of the blade from top to bottom.
Young Trafalgar D Law is slim and has a tanned complexion. He typically wears a sweatshirt with his team’s Jolly Rodger insignia on it in black and yellow. He consistently rolls up his sleeves, showing off the tribal tattoos on his arms. Trafalgar law is a perceptive and savvy person. He keeps his cool and waits for the best chance to take action. He is the total antithesis of Luffy, who acts without thinking. Law always has a plan, but Luffy never implements them, which deeply bothers him. He has a soft side, especially when it comes to his crew (Bepo). He also hates bread for some reason.
How Is Law Related To Luffy?
Their official relationship is an alliance, where they work together for the same goal. Luffy treats Law as a friend because he thinks that an alliance entails friendship. An alliance implies only that to Law—an alliance. Unlike Luffy, he does not view the relationship as a friendship. He has repeatedly made it clear to Luffy that they are tied by a contract that doesn’t call for a personal attachment.
Law admires and respects Luffy’s crew and recognizes their talents. Also, he has a special interest in Luffy because he has a “D” in his name. That’s the sole reason Law needed to convince himself to form an alliance with Luffy.
Nevertheless, despite Law’s persistent denial of Luffy’s claims that they are friends, it is safe to presume that they have been interacting as friends for some time now. They have been together since the second arc of the New World, which is a very long time. Trafalgar D Law has now officially joined Luffy’s group of buddies, although reluctantly. Especially after the Dressrosa arc, where Luffy assisted him in defeating Doflamingo, his arch-enemy.
He won’t kill him after the alliance expires, we can be certain of that. Even if the alliance is broken, Law might still help Luffy out of pity or because he feels obligated to him. Based on this, we can call them friends, although it’s unlikely that Law will ever acknowledge their friendship.
