Music’s biggest night concluded with Taylor Swift winning the ‘Album of the Year’ trophy for ‘Midnights’. Grammys 2024 has seen the emergence of some new faces who were honored, like the African powerhouse performer Tyla. After long years of hard work, Victoria Monét was awarded ‘Best New Artist’, and Miley Cyrus won her first two Grammys for ‘Flowers’.
Many new artists and some veterans were nominated together in several categories. As usual, Taylor Swift dominated the major categories in the pop section. Killer Mike swept major awards in the rap category, with veterans like Joni Mitchell being given the deserved flowers. In the movie categories, ‘Barbie’ and ‘Oppenheimer’ swept awards in major categories.
