Kaley Cuoco has made a name for herself in the entertainment industry. The People’s Choice Award winner has starred in sitcoms like ‘8 Simple Rules’ and ‘Brandy & Mr. Whiskers.’ But her portrayal of Penny on the CBS sitcom ‘The Big Bang Theory’ made her a household name.
But the personal life of Kaley has been tumultuous. The 36-year-old actress recently opened up about her 2021 split with Karl Cook. She admitted that she was struggling with depression but tried to deny it at that time. Kaley and Karl were together for a long time and shared a lovely relationship.

Kaley Opens Up About Her Split With Karl
In a recent interview with Variety, the ‘Killer Movie‘ actress admitted she was struggling and trying to deny her depression during her divorce from Karl Cook.
“Going through my divorce, it was really a super dark time“, she said. “I just didn’t know how to deal with it. I was throwing myself into work to deny my depression, and how upset I was.”
Kaley then said that the role she was playing at that time didn’t really help the situation. “Unfortunately, the character, (Cassie Bowden in ‘The Flight Attendent’), was so depressed that it wasn’t helping me!”
“I was really, really, really struggling,” Cuoco added. “A lot of tears.” The actress has been attending therapy sessions since then. She has stated that she’s “very open” to showing everyone that “things just aren’t always what they seem [and] … aren’t always so perfect.”

Karl and Kaley tied the knot in 2018 and separated last year. Their divorce was finalized in June. She was earlier married to tennis player Ryan Sweeting between 2013 to 2016.
The Golden Globe nominee is now dating Tom Pelphrey. She made her relationship official with the ‘Ozark‘ actor in May.
Kaley talked about how the two met. “We have the same manager, and we were set up by (her), which is so Hollywood.”
She recalls, “I heard his voice, and I turned around, and it was like my life was over, or just starting. It hit me. It was love at first sight. We were immediately connected. I do feel like I’ve known him my whole life, but I wasn’t ready for him.” The actress has said that they are ready to build a life together.
